The stones join together the distinctive violet-blue of Iolite with reflective platelets of hematite. The very best of these retain the color and transparency of gem Iolite while offering this wonderful collection of Hematite platelets which reflect a fine spectral flash when hit with light. The color of the Iolite is great, the platelets are oriented superbly well and the size is perfect for collection or jewelry - the reflected colors are quite dazzling.
